The Christian Leadership Conference is a weekend training event. It is devised to offer YMCA staff and lay members tools they will need in their roles as YMCA leaders. It enhances staff training and focuses on the Christian Emphasis aspects of leadership.

The purpose of the Christian Leadership Conferences is to prepare each participant to better develop:
- A strong doctrine
- A healthy manner of life
- A purpose of life
- Faith
- Charity
- Patience and humility
For over 35 years, Christian Leadership Conferences have trained day and resident camp leaders, child care workers, YMCA staff and volunteers. During a weekend training event, workshops are conducted on a variety of leadership subjects which may include the YMCA Mission, devotions, storytelling, discipline, chapel, values education and much more. A Christian atmosphere is projected without preaching a particular doctrine. Participants work in a variety of settings with trained adult facilitators and YMCA staff. Sharing Christian values and the YMCA Mission in all YMCA programs is emphasized.
Since the first Christian Leadership Conference in 1974 the program has grown and now includes conferences from coast to coast. Over 2,000 young adults attend each year.
